Summary:

We are looking for a Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator for our growing company to increase marketing productivity. We want someone with PR and copywriting experience, social media experience, and the ability to help manage our marketing calendar, and various projects. You must be highly motivated and take the initiative! He/she will directly report to the marketing manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to marketing manager for press releases, media relations content, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, speaking proposals, and other marketing materials
  • Oversee marketing and social media calendar and supervise social media outreach
  • Act as project manager for a number of marketing projects
  • Oversee team metrics and dashboards- analyze marketing tools like analytics and HubSpot
  • Deliver content via company blog, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
  • Coordinate and deliver email and direct mail campaigns and take initiative to work on high impact projects
  • Promote products and services through public relations initiatives/activities
  • Strong understanding of public relations concepts and ideas
  • Write press releases and pitch local and national media
  • Develop fresh story ideas and bylines
  • Support marketing communication campaigns and create thought leadership materials
  • Research media coverage and industry trends and monitor our competition
  • Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies and our brand
  • Offers solutions and creative ideas that will help to improve strategy & materials

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, PR, creative English or technical writing
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years public relations and marketing experience
  • Experience managing social media brand pages
  • Excellent editing & grammar skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with project management tools, event planning, and digital marketing
  • Working knowledge of marketing service providers- Constant Contact/MailChimp, PR software Cision and social media monitoring dashboard
  • Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Ability to complete projects with minimal errors and to interact with multiple departments
  • A list of media contacts

Desired Skills and Experience

  • WordPress and HTML experience a plus
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign experience a plus
  • Content Management System (CMS)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Project management tool
